Project Simia is an educational social media project that seeks to bring the exciting and fascinating world of primates to you, breaking down the barriers of science and to get people educated, invested, and taking action.

Ruffed lemurs are the largest pollinators in the world! Their ruffs of fur around their heads collects pollen as they feed upon flowers.

Upgrade in Red List Status

The IUCN upgraded the red list status of long-tailed macaques and southern pig tailed macaques from Vulnerable to Endangered, reflecting significant threats to these species' survival.

Primates in Peril 2022-23

The new 'World’s 25 Most Endangered Primates' list has been published for '22-23. It features 8 new species that had previously not featured on these lists.

PSGB Winter meeting

The Primate Society of GB has tickets on sale for it's winter meeting this year - hosted at Twycross zoo!
