Where has Project Simia been?

Well, 2023 has certainly been a year.
Full of ups and (quite a few) downs, I'm ending 2023 by trying to get my monkeys all in a row. I'm sure I don't need to tell you but Project Simia has been very quiet the best part of half a year. Firslty I'd like to say sorry! And explain why.
Life has been exceptionally busy this year, along with numerous challenges that were thrown at me. I found myself exhausted, burnt out, stressed, and struggling. I had to make difficult choices about where my free time went, and had committments that came first. I sadly found myself down on energy and motivation to create the usual Project Simia content. Real life has taken a lot of my energy and attention, from moving to a new house, concentrating on training our dog, Ollie, through his wild teenage months, and the UK being in a cost of living crisis which meant I needed to take up additional hours at work... I'm surprised I've made it out the other side in one piece!
But Project Simia is still my passion project. I love it and want to keep developing it into something big and positive for primates and conservation. After this break, I'm feeling that passion bubble back to the surface. I'm itching to get creative again, my brain is bursting with ideas, and plans I'd previously put on hold are getting brought back in to action. I've stepped down from a few things as well as assessed where my time and energy is going, and now feel in a good spot to bring Project Simia back to life! I'm ready to get creating and can't wait to reconnect with you all again!
Thank you all for sticking with Project Simia and for your support so far. It really means the world and I can't wait to see what 2024 brings.
Pant hoots and trills,
Brogan
Project Simia creator.
